Academics

At Pathways Prep Academy, academics aren't just about meeting requirements — they're about opening doors. Our instructional model gives every student a rigorous, meaningful foundation during their first years of high school, then connects that foundation to personalized pathways that lead directly to college and career.

A Foundation Built For Every Next Step

During their first two years at PPA, students build a strong core in English, math, science, history, and electives — preparing them to step confidently into their personalized pathway.

By graduation, every Pathways Prep Academy student will have:

  • Completed the A–G course sequence required for CSU and UC admission
  • Fulfilled the Cal-GETC general education transfer curriculum
  • Earned college credit through dual enrollment — with the opportunity to complete up to two years toward an associate degree
  • Received a career certificate in their chosen field of study
  • Have a Job Shadowing or Internship experience in their field of choice.

Small Classes. High Expectations.

At Pathways Prep Academy, students aren't lost in the crowd. Our intentionally small class sizes ensure that every teacher knows every student — their strengths, their needs, and their goals. This allows us to deliver instruction that is both rigorous and responsive, pushing students to exceed their expectations while providing the support to help them get there.

Pathways That Connect Learning To Life

Courses within each pathway combine academic content with hands-on projects, real-world problem solving, and connections to industries and careers students actually care about.

Through our dual enrollment partnerships with local colleges and universities, students take college-level courses while still in high school — earning real credit, gaining real confidence, and getting a real head start.
